Kacey Musgraves kicked off her Same Trailer Different Tour headlining run last night with a sold out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. The songwriter turned superstar performed fan favorites off her debut album, Same Trailer Different Park, as well as various covers. It was Kacey’s first headlining show in New York, and needless to say she’ll be welcomed back. You can catch Kacey headlining through October before she joins Lady Antebellum’s tour in November.

COMEDY BREAKDOWN: THE MINDY PROJECT - “ALL MY PROBLEMS SOLVED FOREVER…” (S2E1)
So The Mindy Project returned last night and I’m so glad it did. We learned a lot of things: Mindy is engaged, Danny does not want to have sex with his ex-wife and Morgan has not changed at all. But the highlight of the night was guest star James Franco, who plays a sex therapist/gynecologist.
Thankfully, he will be returning for next week’s episode, but here are nine reasons he should be a series regular. http://nkdmag.com/?p=3162

RECAP: BREAKING BAD - “OZYMANDIAS” (S5E14)
After last night’s Breaking Bad I need intensive therapy, a hug, tissues and a night light. It made my jaw actually drop several times and I have to say, I officially want Walt dead.
Here’s what happened… http://nkdmag.com/?p=3160

Blink 182 played their smallest show since the early-2000s at the Music Hall of Williamsburg last night and 550 fans were lucky enough to attend. The energy in the room was at an all-time high as Blink plowed through their discography in the packed, sweaty room. In honor of 9/11, the band donated their entire fee from this intimate performance to two worthy charities. The recipients are: William Randolph Hearst Burn Center at the New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, in Manhattan; and City of Hope, located near Los Angeles, this is a nationally renowned research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Opening up for the band was New Beat Fund.

ARTIST BLOGGER: OLIVIA SOMERLYN - “A DAY ON SUMMER BREAK (PART 1)”
My mom said going on tour would be like running away with the circus, and, sure enough, the first morning I opened the blinds of our tour bus, there were elephants walking by my window under a giant red and white tent! It was the Del Mar Fair on June 22, 2013. Opening night at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles had been the night before, and this was my first real day out on tour. I hardly knew what to do first! There was so much to see backstage let alone at the surrounding fair. I could hear Big Time Rush and Victoria Justice sound checking from my bus, which got me so excited. And nervous. Everyone in the fair would be able to hear me! But somehow, with the first night behind me, the nerves started to fade away. Sure enough, sound check was so much more fun because some of the fans from Big Time Rush’s sound check party stayed to watch me! I loved the inclusive environment of this venue.

HOT IN HOLLYWOOD: EMMA KENNEY - “MY DREAM PLACES TO LIVE”
Right now, I spend my time living between suburban New Jersey and California, and I love it, but I also have that craving to try something new and live in a new place for at least a short time. Maybe even a new country. Now, I’m only 13, so none of these drastic life changes will be taking place until I am at least 23 and out of college (hopefully NYU Film School!)
